Incompetent service and repairs

I took my laptop to Incredible Connection (William Moffett branch) in December 2011 as I had purchased it from them and it was still under warranty. My laptop would not boot and I suspected that there was a software problem. I asked the Service techician if they would be able to fix it and stressed that they must not delete any information or data as my entire business information was stored on the laptop including pastel, emails, spreadsheets, payroll etc.
I was telephoned to say that I could collect my laptop on the monday. To my horror, when I put my laptop on, the hard drive had been formatted and windows 7 reloaded. I immediately phoned Incredible connection and they said that I should bring it back. They were unable to retrieve any information and did not do a backup. I managed to retrieve some of the information privately, at a cost. It was devastating and had a negative impact on my business. I forwarded the invoice to Shaun Peters at Incredible connection, but he has ignored my emails and not returned any of my calls. He never seems to be in when I phoned. Incredible connection will not be seeing me as a customer in the future. Their mistake was very costly

Quite Impressed: The Branch manager Shaun Peters contacted my yesterday and said they would refund to me half the cost of retrieving the data on my computer, whilst I am happy that he responded, many of the files that were retrieved are corrupt and this had a negative effect on my business.  I hope that in the future the technicians will ensure that this sort of thing does not happen.
