I contacted the accounts support department in December as their online purchasing system for data bundles was not working. The consultant put me through to the Accounts Supervisor who then asked me for my credit card number. Her next question was for the 3 digits at the back of the credit card; I got suspicious as she could potentially use this elsewhere as well as the conversation we were having is also recorded for 3rd party people to also listen. I am shocked and appalled that a senior accounts person would even suggest such a thing to a client and expect to get away with it. I refused to give her those 3 numbers and she happily obliged. It is very disturbing for a company to allow senior management to treat customers like this. Speaking to her as well it seemed as if she was doing me a favour (or lack thereof). |
