@Home ******** monies from clients

My son gave me a R150-00 gift voucher as a Christmas present which I could use to purchase goods at a number of different stores of which @Home was one of the stores. This morning I went into the @Home store in the Mall@Reds in Centurion and purchased goods to the value of R149-00. To all intents and purposes, I should have been given R1-00 change, however, Penny, at the store refused to give me the R1-00 refund. I cannot purchase anything for R1-00 and if this is the policy of @Home, then I have a concern that if this happens to millions of other shoppers, that @Home are in fact ******** monies from their clients.
