I bought a small console table from @Home Livingspace in Sandton CIty on 20 November 2011, and was promised that it would be delivered early in January (around the 5th or the 6th). When I gave the store a call yesterday (5 January) to find out when my table would be delivered I was informed that the table will only arrive in South Africa by 27 January and will only be distributed a minimum of 10 working days later. This is absolutely ridiculous. If I was informed upfront that it would take nearly 3 months just for a small table to be delivered, I would never have bought it in the first place. If I also did not follow up myself, the store simply would not have informed me that I will receive the table nearly a month and a half later. This is my second bad experience with delivery from this store. I also bought a chaise from the same store, and was promised delivery on 15 December 2011 at around 15:00. I duly took the afternoon off from work ( I am a consultant who bill by the hour, so it actually cost me money to be at home), only for the chaise not to be delivered. The chaise was only delivered this past week. |
