Breville cafe venezia coffee machine failure

I have purchased a Breville cafe venezia coffee machine on the 28th December 2011. After using it a couple of times, I found that water started spraying everywhere from the filter nozzle, as if some seal has broken. I have then researched similar incidences on the internet & found this to be a recurring problem.

I intend to return the product to @Home Constantia, where i purchased the machine, however, I am afraid this might happen again, as a result of a possible defect in this range of product. I have followed the instructions to the T & cleaned the machine thoroughly after each use.

I would appreciate some feedback from Breville SA or @Home.
