HOLLYWOODBETS: HOLDING MY MONEY HOSTAGE – A MASTERCLASS IN CORPORATE ****GERY
I have R4,300 sitting in my Hollywoodbets account, which I cannot access because of what can only be described as an utterly ridiculous and contradictory set of rules.
I attempted to place a bet using my funds, only to be informed that I am apparently restricted from staking due to betting limits. Fine. However, when I subsequently attempted to withdraw my money, I was told I cannot do so because I haven't met the staking requirements.
So let me get this straight: You won't allow me to bet my money, but you also won't allow me to withdraw my money because I haven't bet it.
What exactly am I supposed to do with my money? Watch it collect dust in your account?
This is beyond frustrating. It is fundamentally unreasonable and raises serious questions about your business practices. You cannot impose restrictions that prevent a customer from using their funds and then use those very same restrictions as justification for withholding access to those funds.
I expect the immediate release of my R4,300, or a clear, lawful explanation of the basis on which you believe you are entitled to retain it.
Please don't send me a generic copy-and-paste response about betting limits or wagering requirements. I've already explained the contradiction. I expect someone with the authority to resolve this matter to actually look into it.
This is my money. I want it released.
