When we received a sms from Hammond Pole that legal action was to be taken against us, we were shocked. We did not have an account with MFC and the ones we did have been settled in 2010 already. So when we contacted them I spoke to Maxine who was rude and incompetent to answer my questions and they had no correct info, except for an id number. They were informed that we had no account with MFC and a letter from MFC to confirm that we indeed had no account with them was forwarded. She then forwarded my own mail back to me. In the mean time I also mailed MFC who confirmed that the account was handed over in error. Three days later we once again received a sms from Hammond Pole to inform us that they are now "proceeding with an execution order" and "willing to offer us a special settlement". So I phone again. I spoke to Maxine who transferred me to Hendrihetta who also had no clue of what she is doing. Even after forwarding the e-mail from MFC they still did not follow up with their client. I have worked in a debt collecting call centre myself and have never seen such incompetency in my live!!!! |
