| I received a pair of Guess jeans as a Christmas present. I was extremely thrilled given that i am an avid consumer of Guess merchandise until i realised that the jeans were not the right fit for my body type. My relative repeatedly mentioned to me how much she had spent at the Guess store when she did her Christmas shopping. This morning i went to exchange the jeans for a pair which were more suitable and was quite rudely told that they will not exchange the jeans unless i could provide the following information: origin & date of purchase. I calmly explained to the sales attendant that the jeans had in fact been a Christmas present and that i did not feel comfortable asking the individual for this information as this was in extremely bad taste. I was frankly told that since this would affect their stock there is no way that they would exchange the jeans. I was extremely disappointed and let down by both the attitude of the individual that assisted me as well as the store's policy. I strongly believe that the fact that Guess are not able to track their stock efficiently should not affect the consumer especially since the returning of gifts is generally not a rare occurrence. | |||

Hello Nic Cor, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. In order for any of our stores to be able to track a specific receipt we require a date of purchase. This is due to the fact that we cannot reprint just any receipt but need the one specific to your purchase. If you can supply us with the date of purchase we will surely be able to look it up and see if it is within the new CPA regulations to warrant and exchange Kind Regards Stefan |
