Guess Handbag tearing

Hi there,

My husband bought me a Guess handbag last Christmas from Edgars in Pavilion and paid just on R1000 for it. About 2 months ago the bag's stitching around the zip started coming undone and now the plastic is tearing. I'm so upset as being a R1000 Guess handbag I would have expected it to last much much longer than 10/11 months! I have bags that I bought from the Chinese shop that have lasted longer! My husband doesn't have record either of what he did with the slip for the bag as I suppose he would never have guessed that the bag would need to be returned.

Hope you can offer some assistance as I'm really upset!

Hi Natasha,

I apologise for this experience.
This hello-peter site has been created to deal with customer compliments and complaints about Guess retail stores. However I can shed some light on the warranty policy.

Our products have a 6 month warranty against manufacturing defects, as stipulated by the consumer protection act. You would have to go back to the place that sold you the bag, with proof of purchase. Then the item would either be repaired or replaced.
Unfortunately your bag falls out of the warranty period. Maybe Edgars has a repair department that can assist in getting this bag repaired.
