WE DEMAND TO BE COMPENSATED!!

Im a regular Gautrain commuter and purchased a 7 day pass in last week. The bus company were on strike and I was not able to use their service. I paid for a service that could not be delivered. I understand Mega Express is a different entity, but I paid Gautrain and not Mega Express. Why is Gautrain not taking responsibility? Why should the consumer be penalised in this regard? I dont require a refund, Im happy with them extending my pass, but they are not interested to assist in any way. Thulile at Centurion station also did not explain any refund conditions. Given, Maureen and Busisiwe M from the call centre has not phoned me to date.

Response from Gautrain "Kindly note that the 7-Day Pass gives you ten trips that is valid from day of first use + 6 more operating days. We regret to inform you that the Gauteng Provincial Government, Bombela Concession Company and Bombela Operating Company will not compensate Gautrain travellers who fail to use period product trips due to any reason what so ever"
