Well i have been using the Gautrain since October last year from Midrand to Hyde Park everyday and i must say this is quite a convinient service apppart from when the bus drivers decide to go on strike, love it however the experience is ruined by the buses again funnily enough. One makes up so much time in the train however if you can to catch a bus afterwards all that time is lost. I think this morning i reached boiling point when the driver was coasting the whole way, almost every robot closed on us and he braked for no apparent reason. When i leave the station at 07:30 i usually get to work on time but this morning i was 15 minutes late, the same story the whole week. i dont know if these drivers are still unhappy but they feel the need to frustrate other people. I am not saying they must drive like taxi drivers but they must drive with intent, we have places we have to get to "on time" but this is never the case and some of the people in the bus agreed with me this morning. i told myself if this continues for the rest of the month then i am going to go back to my car because there is simply no point, the service delivery is unacceptable. |
