I entered the Gauteng Rosebank parking @ 7am caught the train to Hatfield to en embassy, and was given a lift back (with a business partner so we could discuss our upcoming oversees trip) to Rosebank and was penalised for not returning via the train. On entering the parking it does not state that you will not pay the normal R10 (for the day) but R80 if you don't return via train. On enquiry the staff glibly point to some small writing on the sign that states "Non-rail user fees will be applied if you take longer than 60 minutes to tag out of the parking after tagging out of a train." This is not public friendly, designed to upset the user and is legalised *****. Train trip to Hatfield is R46 +return trip R46 +parking R10 = R102 return Train to Hatfield R46 + parking R80 = R126 for a one-way trip. Next time I will drive |
