MISSING FLIGHT DUE TO GAUTRAIN DELAY

I had a flight scheduled from Johanesburg to Port Elizabeth on the 28th of January. Once our train reached Midrand the train experienced a problem delaying the next trip. Due to this delay myself and other passengers missed the next train by 5 minutes forcing u to wait 25 minutes for the next train. Most of us therefor missed our flights. i thus paid R135 for a train ticket that caused nothing but irritation and problems and had to pay in R342 for a ticket for the next day. i then still had to make arrangements to return back to Pretoria and return to the airport the next morning as there were no other flights to PE for the 28th.

i am shocked that at this time when the gautrain is still establishing itself there is no alternative plans made by gautrain to accomodate their clients when something like this occurs. The gautrain is South Africas newest and most advanced public transport systems and it is shocking that in 2012 there is no direct complaint offfice or effort from Gautrain or OR Thambo to assume any accountability and we as consumers who want to be positive about government projects are left bearing the brunt of south africas service delivery issue.
