| HEADLINE | Gautrain - Strike costs me R80 in Parking! |
||
|
I live in Pretoria, and had to fetch my vehicle from Johannesburg The Gautrain Bus Drivers were on strike, I could therefore not make use of the bus service to get me to the Centurion Gautrain Station I drove there in a small vehicle, parked the vehicle in the Gautrain parking area. Bought my one-way ticket to Midrand @ R24. Got a lift with a friend from Midrand to Johannesburg, collected my vehicle and drove back to Pretoria. I few (I mean few) hours later my daughter and her family dropped me off at Centurion Gautrain station, to collect the vehicle I left there. R80 parking - as opposed to the mere R10 if you buy a return ticket. Granted - I accept their rules and regulations - which are all in very small print. But - when their Bus Drivers are on strike and passengers cannot make use of their bus service, I had to pay R80 for a vehicle left there for a few hours? When I discussed this with the very arrogant young man in the ticket office at Centurion station, asking why they did not share that fact with me when I purchased my ticket, he shouted at me "You should ask for the information, we do not give information if you do not ask!!" How's that for customer service? |
