| On Sunday (5th of January 2012) my fiance and I took the Gautrain from Sandton to OR Thambo. Upon arriving at OR Thambo I was in desperate need of the loo. I tucked my Gautrain gold card into my pocket and went about my business. When I met back up with fiance who was waiting outside with my case I went to my pocket to get my ticket. The most bizarre thing though it was not there. I then in a panic spent a good 10 minutes searching for my ticket in the toilets but with absolutely no luck. It is still a mystery as to where my ticket is. Anyway, running late for our flight my fiance said I had to get a move on and we thought we'd ask if they could just let us through. Unfortunately we were met with the most unfriendly and unhelpful lady (Bonakele Sokhuw). She would not let us through even after I showed her my receipt proving that I had indeed paid R105 for my ticket. She said she would not let us though unless we paid the R105 for the fare and the R10 for the actual card. This is absolutely ludicrous as we had just spend R105 on the fare to begin with. In total we ended up having to spend R220 on a one way ticket from Sandton to OR Thambo. I have all my receipts as proof. | |||
