I called out Gate Repair services on Mon 7 Nov to repair my Electric gate Simon said the pcb was struck by lightning & was replaced I was billed R1340 and i claimed this from my insurance Tue 8, the gate opener and gate open light were not working from the house. Wed 9, the gate open light was from the house was repaired (3 calls) I was then confrornted with an extra bill for R1,100+ (sensor pcb R800) and rest a description like "New IR Beams" WHICH WERE NOT FAULTY. Also he charged for a part twice on the same invoice. Mon 14, Simon removed the pcbs including the original pcb for which i paid for. I then reported him to the SAP for ***** 3pm that afternoon Simon returned my pcbs but the original problem still existed. Tues 15 & Wed 16 they fixed the problem AGAIN (6 CALLS). Mon 21 the gate did not open Simon then accused my mother (83) of lodging a false call Tues 22 the gate AGAIN did not open Simon took the motor apart and then left with gate open Tues night he sent a man out Wed, the intercom, motor and gate did not work at all - 9 CALLS We called in another company who spent 3 hours sorting out the GRS mess He stated that i was lucky not to have been electrocuted Cost R500 |

Hello patpac, We replaced a PC board for Patrick Pac due to a lightning strike. We also assisted with other faults on his system at no charge. When I told him that we were not responsible for other problems on his system (which was at least 15 years old) simply because we had replaced the PC Board he became rude and aggressive, telling me to get off his property and saying he was going to set his dogs on me. He said the same to my technician. He continually told me how he could not afford the repair and refused to pay for the work done. I did not charge him for many other callouts and other work done in order to try and assist him due to his poor financial situation. Even his poor 83 year old mother with whom he lives told me to deal with her directly because of his temper. I will NOT refund his payment as he has received the goods, as well as additional goods that he did not pay for. The PC board for which he has paid is fully functional. He is using it.
