THE INCIDENT

I have tried to submit this complaint 3 times already but the Greenacres store is perpetually busy and the Game website online form doesnt work. I viewed the Game Birthday specials newsletter in the local newspaper on Friday 25 April and was pleased to see the Sunbeam Breadmaker advertised at R499. This was a very good price and I went to Greenacres PE the following week Wednesday 30-April to purchase this. However the price on the shelf was still labeled at R599 and as I had forgotten to bring my copy of the advertisement along with me thought I had maybe mis-read the advert. I purchased the breadmaker at the price of R599 anyway as my trips into PE are limited On my return home I checked the advertisement and the advertised price was indeed R499. My question is what is the validity period of printed advertisements as I couldn’t find this anywhere on the pamphlet? I would have thought the price would not have changed in the 5 days from publication of the advert, especially given the public holidays at that time? Generally I would also like to point out that the Greenacres store is extremely consumer un-friendly in terms of marked prices & there is often no staff around to assist.
