Damaged Plasma TV

I bough approximately R70 000.00 worths of furniture on the 23rd of December on account. Furniture City delivered then some of the goods on the afternoon of the 23rd at my house. They organised that the lounge suite would be scoth guarded at my house. So they did and as they started the pipe burst of the machine and the chemicals spilled on my plasma tv. We tested the tv and the tv screen was damaged. We immediately reported the incident at the branch and they took the broken tv and promised that the situation would be resolved the first week in the new year because it was the festive season. I agreed to that. But on the 3rd of January nothing was resolved. Eventually when we got feedback Phillip the manager informed us that Furniture City is not taking responsibility and the person whom schotch guarded must repalce the tv. That does not work for me, I am still paying off the TV because it is not even a year old. Marie Steyn from head office promised that the area manager Riaan would give us a call and up to now no phone calls has been received or nothing has been resolved. I am sure that Furniture City has insurane for these kind of incident.

As per our telephonic discussion you have been advised that the store is trying to source the stock in order for your TV to be replaced.

Customer Care will also be doing the necessary follow up calls to ensure that your complaint is resolved as soon as possible.
