| I bought timeshare years ago, much to my dismay. My ex-partner and I have since split up, and after many years now, finally decided to cancel the timeshare, as we don't use it. I've called the Flexi Club call center, and told that the procedure is this: FIRST we must pay 2012's fees. (Approx R7000) THEN we are allowed to notify them of our intention to cancel in writing. THEN, in May, their Board of Directors get together, and look at the cancellations, and they will decide whether they'll allow us to cancel or not! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! And the best is that nobody can tell me what they base their decision on, or what criteria their use to judge whether they cancel it or not! Judging by the complaints on hellopeter about this company, we're in for a fight. I will most certainly consult a Consumer Protection Act specialists about this one - it can not be legal! I want a copy of the contract which we signed - yet nobody is able to give me this! Maybe 702 will be interested in investigating this issue. | |||
