I wonder if flexiclub is violating our consumer rights as outlined in the National Consumer Act. The 2x items I have a concern with is: 1 - Should you buy points from a 3rd party you need to pay all levies everything in duplication. Problem with that is that the points were sold to us as an investment with 1x set of levies. When we queried about getting more points, we were told that we could purchase more points and your current levies would be adjusted. There was no mention that you could only them from them. Has Flexiclub changed the original contract it made with its clients by doing this? Are they not preventing the sale of the points by adding penalties? 2 - How is the value of our points being calculated. Flexiclub "rates" them at about R11 a point, but if you ever tried to sell, no-one will offer anything near that price. Is Flexiclub not creating a false "bubble" that once popped will leave people with thousands of points valued at R0? How is this any different from the housing bubble that happenned in USA in last few days? Should the value of the points not be based on the value of them in the market like in a real investment? class action Lawyers? |
