Looks like I'm changing banks

As I am an existing client I personally approached FNB to apply for a new home loan. Audrey von Molendorff from your home loans department contacted me. Everything was progressing positively until the assessors were sent out to do the valuation. The house did have structural damage, which was repaired by an engineer.I immediately sent Audrey a copy of the engineers report and certificate. According to your assessors the certificate and report was out-dated even though it was done only 7 months ago. In the meantime I sent an independent engineer to the property and supplied FNB with his report (confirming that the property was structurally sound) on Friday 3rd. According to Audrey the decision **** with the assessors and to date they still haven't responded based on the reports sent to them. I have explained to Audrey that I have received bond grants from ABSA and Standard bank and I am under pressure to accept or decline the offers. I am not prepared to decline the offers unless I have a written quote from FNB. Audrey has expressed that she understands my predicament but will not commit to resolving the issue. I will transfer ALL my accounts to whichever bank holds my bond.

Not Impressed: My application was still pending by Friday, due to the assessors, so I had no choice but to accept ABSA's bond grant. I will be transferring my credit card, garage card and current account in the next few months.
