FNB change my phys address without proof

Not only initially (as per subject) - they also did not change my address back when I gave them new proof! Here is the detail:

I opened a Smart cheque account with FNB in Dec 2011 and had to provide all the FICA requirements - including proof of my physical address (where I am staying the past 5 years). When my first statement came it used my previous address! I complained (FNB ref nr given elsewhere) and was told I HAVE to go in physically to get it changed (despite the fact that I have given the info to them at creation!). I replied to that via email and NEVER got another response back.

I then went to Cresta FNB on Monday 23 Jan and again gave them proof of my id and physical address. I was told it should be correct now. Today 9 Feb my new statement STILL shows the old address. So now, when I want to move my debit orders and are asked for my new bank statement, the wrong physical address still shows.

It is unacceptable that FNB use a wrong address in the first place, then demand that I go there physically to fix it, and then still keep the address unchanged. Is this how you treat new (Platinum potential) clients?

I have lodged this as a formal complaint under reference 138349 and escalated it through to Branch banking to investigate.

Not Impressed: I was phoned on Friday by the Cresta branch (the manager I believe) and was told that it will be sorted out without me coming to the branch. The call and promise I do appreciate. However when I went to the branch on Tuesday to get a printed statement (needed for 8ta), my phys address on the statement still was wrong! Hence the NOT IMPRESSED rating. Full marks to Shaoai Tevan at the counter, the FIRST one to spot the problem and fix it right there as others should have done earlier!
