Last year after much advertising about their Gold Cheque account that will will only cost you R92.00 a month I went to FNB and opened a new gold account, in my name with my husband as a signatory on the account as both the salaries will go into this account. Recently I have applied for a few things on credit only to be declined every time stating that I was a credit risk and that I should check my ITC listing. I then pulled my ITC listing and from what I could see there was absolutely no problem on the listing. I then went to see the bank on Saturday as we wanted to increase our overdraft. This is when I was notified that my husband even though having full signing rights is now NULL and void and all our debt falls under my name. Effectivly FNB has KILLED my credit rating, and what is FNB's solution, if your husband wants any credit he must open his own account, so now we are back to paying what we were at any other bank, SO FNB YOU LIED, it is not that cheap when each person needs their own account! |
