This weekend (21/22 January) I was unable to access certain functionalities on my online banking. On Monday I wanted to enquire about this to find out whether this was a problem with my account or a general problem. I phoned the 087 575 000 Call Centre number. The option for online assistance was restricted to password resetting, referring one back to the website. Should I want assistance from an operator, I would have to pay R50 (presumably for resetting the password). 1. FNB should put a message on their home page if there are problems with online banking. I have much pleasure with FNB online banking and understand the need for upgrades, etc. I just want to know when and for how long. 2. Surely problems with online banking is not restricted to password changes? Thanks |

Quite Impressed:
Hi FNB phoned me the afternoon of 23 January. They explained that they do have some problems with their online website but assisted me with a solution. I am impressed by the prompt response but still think that they should put a notice on the home page in regard to the specific problem, which relates to specific browser functionality. |
