| HEADLINE | Internet banking getting worse and worse |

When logging in to internet banking for the past few weeks, I get this: "The functionality selected has been temporarily disabled for your protection. Please click OK and select Contact Us to display the contact details you require to enable the use of this service type." I cannot access my internet banking for payments to accounts or to an eWallet. Please fix this asap. Since I have already gone in to the bank yesterday, I do not wish to continue doing so in order to fix the issue. Going to the branch fixed the issue for sending money to a beneficiary, but nothing else. I need this working soon, as I am planning a trip and may need to use my FNB account. Otherwise, I might as well stick with Standard Bank as I have not yet had such problems with them. |

Quite Impressed:
Felicity gave me a call and explained the security process. It seems that logging into a system different from your previous login causes the system to disable "high-risk features" of online banking, which the eWallet obviously is. Though I do not like the process, I am happy with the explanation, as I myself know about online security and safety. An alternative was to use my cellphone, which can link to the fnb cellphone app(and ultimately will be a single channel not linked to online banking) |
