I'll rather deal with Home Affairs than FNB

We have been struggling for 2 months now to get money we have paid extra in our home loan from FNB, this is in a separate prepaid account from the actual bond. FNB has the ability to loose documents, or just receive half a pdf document emailed, I had to send bank statement 3 times to FNB, being told over the phone they received it, and when enquiring progress only to be told the bank statements are missing. Having to sign application forms 3 times, first time instructed to do so incorrectly, second time they only received half the pdf document I emailed them, and the third time to resign everything with 3 signatory details squashed onto a document that only caters for 2 signatories. And the only time I find out about any problems is when I phone for an update, being transferred from one department to another, each call lasting well over 30min whereby 15min is spent listening to elevator music. I'm not applying for a loan, I'm only trying to get my money out of your account, how hard can that be. I will rather go sit in a queue at home affairs, than what I have to deal with FNB home loans again. Last person I dealt with was Pearl Jacobs, whom I am unable to get an answer from now.

Quite Impressed: The matter was resolved within 4 days of posting on hello Peter, it is just sad that you have to go to this extend to receive service levels that should be standard.
