| HEADLINE | FNB - YOU ARE INCOMPETENT!!! |
||
| I got married in November and subsequently ordered a new debit card from FNB with my new surname on. Card arrived last week & I picked it up at the Rivonia branch on Friday (13th of Jan). The card was in an envelope with the pin code under one of those "pull-off stickers". I was told that if I want to change my pin code, I can do so at the ATM - which I immediately did! Directly after this, I bought things at Clicks & when I wanted to pay, my pin code that I had just changed did not work! I assumed that maybe it takes a while for my new pin to "kick" in.. So I used the pin in the envelope. On Sunday (2 days later), I was having lunch with my husband at a restaurant & the SAME thing happened! My pin STILL didn't work!! At the time I obviously did NOT have the envelope with me (as I thought I would not need it), because my new pin code should surely by now be working. Do you have any idea how EMBARRASSING it is to sit there and NOT be able to pay because your pin code that you changed at the ATM IS NOT WORKING!!! FNB: I expect a FORMAL letter of apology from you & advice as to HOW I am supposed to go about and actually CHANGE my pin code for good! I am utterly disappointed in FNB! | |||

| CUSTOMER'S FEEDBACK | lila25 | Time and Date | 10:25:53 | Thu 19 Jan 12 |
| Quite Impressed: Someone from FNB phoned me the same day still and explained to me what to do - just a pity that what he explained to me DOES NOT WORK!! I did it exactly as I was told, and STILL am not able to change my pin on internet banking. I phoned FNB and was told that because my card uses "chip" technology, I can only change my pin at a branch! Now what I would like to know is this: WHY DID THE OBVIOUSLY INCOMPETENT PERSON AT FNB RIVONIA BRANCH TELL ME I CAN CHANGE MY PIN AT THE ATM? (which didn't work)! | |||
