FNB- HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

By upgrading your systems please! Three times (I'm persistent) on 28 Jan (Saturday morning), just after 11.30, in Fourways Mall, my FNB gold card was declined shortly after swiping. However, the transactions were acknowledged on my cell phone. A competent lady at Dis-Chem informed me that this was SOP for FNB at month end and assured me that a message confirming a reversal of payment would eventually come through. Not good enough FNB! This is embarrassing - and what happens to those who do not have a second c/c or debit card? Also, are you going to reverse the interest payment these transactions have attracted? For a large corporation you're certainly a tad mean with your on-line capacty.

Quite Impressed: FNB Card Division did actually call back - althoug their explanation that they had had a slight problem was a slight bending of the truth - they have month end capacity problems that need to be resolved.  However, kudos for handling it well.
