| I ordered an ipod Nano from Expansys, and was told that it would be delivered to me within 10 working days. At the end of the 10 working days (a Wednesday) I received a call from Expansys telling me some vague storey about the supplier in the UK not having the device I wanted (despite it being advertised on the Expansys South Africa website!). To resolve the issue and receive an ipod as soon as possible, I agreed to take a larger and more expensive device on the basis that I would receive it the following Tuesday. Come the following Tuesday, I contacted Expansys myself to find out what time my device would arrive, only to be given another vague excuse about it not being sent from the UK. I was reassured that the device would be sent to South Africa on Thursday and that I would receive it the following Monday. Needless to say that Monday has arrived, and I once again called Expansys to find out where my ipod is, only to find it was not sent out with the last shipment! I now have to wait a further week for the ipod, despite my patience thus far. This kind of service and failure to take accountability is unacceptable, and wholly inadequate in terms of new Consumer Legislation. | |||

Hello gonzo1987, Thank you for your comment. After careful review of your order, I have found that your order was placed and processed on October 28th. A maximum lead-time of 10 working days was given which fell due on Friday 11th of November. Unfortunately, the item which is in stock at Expansys UK did not ship to us with our daily shipments and we have requested further investigation as to why this was not done and hence we have been let down and failed to deliver to you on time as was initially quoted. Please accept my apologies for the most part as while this circumstance is beyond our control and most likely due to some human error on the UK side, it reflects poorly on us and our service offering to you. As some form of compensation, the delivery fee paid will be refunded to you which we understand cannot reverse the delays experienced thus far but at least provide some compensation. We value your support at Expansys South Africa. Kind Regards Warren Preston Customer Service Manager Expansys South Africa |
