POOR SERVICE / PRICING

Tried to order an item advertised at R404 from the website around 22/11/2011. On trying to checkout, price differred to above.I reported this to Expansys who responded a few days later. When I tried to order the items subsequently, price increased to R575. Expansys response is that price changed due to exchange rate flucatuation but this is not the true reason since exchange rate has not changed significantly. Expansys refused to honour price although they have delayed in attending to the query. I subsequently order the item on their website at R484.

When the 2 items were picked up - they were in the process of handing over the incorrect item. Fortunately, this was noticed by the receipient of the item.

In general, their service has been dismal.

Please note the website did not perform as you have initially stated. If an item is displayed on the website at a certain price, when adding the item to your basket and further completing checkout, the price will not change.

Should you go back at a future date, the pricing may indeed have changed and you will need to ensure you refresh your browser in the event that you had saved the previous page in your browser cache.

The pricing can be based on a number of factors such as which supplier in which region has the stock at the lowest price. Once the cheapest stocking supplier is sold out, the next lowest price supplier with stock will then be reflected on our website and the price updated accordingly. The pricing is then further affected by the fx rates.

Looking at the communication on your order, all queries were responded to a timely and professional manner.

I do apologise that you have not had a pleasant experience shopping with us.
