This is the bulk of at letter I sent to Europcar after our unfortunate experience with their Cape Town branch. Hi Lloyd We did not damage the car in any way. That little dent was there before we hired the car. Me being inexperienced in car hire did not notice it let alone bring it to their attention. I had no idea that such a small dent which I have nothing to do with could come back to bite me in the financial rear-end this way. Assuming that everything was in tact and that they were aware of any dents on the car which we payed money to use, we took the car on our marry way. (Surely this is something which should be communicated more efficiently when handing out keys to your "trusted" customers). When returning the car I signed some form which the respectable guy shoved in my face, but only because we could not miss our flight and we need to leave. If I had time to listen to his story I can assure you I would never have signed that form! I will be sure to advise my followers and friends on the various social mediums to avoid dealing with Europcar at all cost in future. Merry Christmas |
