Ridiculous Invoice

I just received a damage and liability invoice for R 3997.60 after phoning Europcar to find out what this was about I was told that this is a automated email and I must just ignore the mail until they send me the supporting documents. Excuse me???!!!
No one could tell me what this was for and the last time I hired a car from them was over three months ago. Please can this immediately be rectified and removed from the account?
