I rented a car from Europcar on 10.12.2011 at King Shaka Airport at 14:23 for two days. I returned the car at 14:39 on 12.12.2011. Europcar charged me for three days rental, when I contacted Europcar to query the amount I was told that there is no "grace period" and the car had been checked in after 48 hours and therefore charged for three days. This is completely unacceptable; there are a number of reasons why your vehicle could have been late from the time it takes for the robot at King Shaka Airport to change, to the queue of cars being returned. For 16 minutes you cannot possibly charge for another 24 hours?! |
