My Wife and I went into this Edgars branch in search of shoes and clothing. We went through to the shoes section and stood there for 20 minutes unable to find any staff to assist us whilst notifying staff from other sections of this and being told "someone will be there shortly". My wife is walking with her arm in a sling due to an injury caused by her epilepsy. I eventually found someone in one of the other sections who called a manager, "Denis", over and I commented on there being no one in that section and that we needed assistance to find a shoe in another size. He proceeded to tell the staff member to tell us that it is a sale item and that there aren't any other sizes. In this whole process he never deigned it important enough to speak to his customers directly, or to address the issue of there still being no staff in that section. He turned around without so much as an apology and walked off, leaving us feeling highly insulted. I called the store and spoke to him. When confronted with the fact that he didn't even assist us directly: "I beg to differ", was the response I got. I will be taking this matter up with EDCON group directly as well. |
