| I took my phone to Vodacom in the beginning of January for repairs as the trackball was not working, job no 7395411, the phone came back after two weeks and report was saying beyond economical repairs as it was liquid damage, they asked if I had insurance, which I do with Edgars. I paid R57 for the assessment report to take to my insurance. I took the phone to Edgars on the 25/01/2012 and produced the report from Vodacom & the lady who was assisting said it was not necessary & I should come back in a week to check for feedback. 02/02/2012 I went to the shop to check & the phone was not there, but they made a call to check, the lady that on the other side ( Busisiwe) is the name asked what was wrong with the phone & I told them the trackball of my Blackberry 9300 was not working, she then asked when did I buy the phone, I told her May 2011, she asked if I had dropped the phone or anything like that, I then answered no,she told me they only cover the phone for physical damage and my claim did not apply. I asked her about the contract that I signed saying if the phone would be liquid damage I would have to pay double the excess, of which Vodacom says it is liquid damaged. | |||
