| A Guess handbag on the sales shelf caught our attention, there was no barcode nor a pricetag.In addition,a display next to the shelf indicated a discount of up to 50% off.Furthermore,in order to ascertain the price,there was no sales assistants or cashiers in sight.We then approached "Zwandile",if he was an employee of Edgars,to which he replied yes and courteously assisted us by going to management to obtain a price.This process was prolonged for 20mins until he returned to obtain a similar Guess bag from the sales shelf in order to obtain a barcode,reason unable to detect the barcode on the system.He returned with a barcode cited on a piece of paper and informed us that there's a further 50% discount and we will not encounter any problems as the cashiers are well aware of the pricing/discount.However when we were requested the sales slip,we noticed that the bag was priced at R1399 without the 50% discount,this discrepancy was raised with the cashier to much fan fare,in front of customers demeaning us,as if we were deceitful.It was escalated to Patience who initially was extremely arrogant,changed her attitude when Zwandile validated his actions-must be commended for his honesty. | |||
