PLEASE HELP ME!!

ON 25 JANUARY 2012, I LOST MY WEDDING RING.

I SUBMITTED THE CLAIM ON 26 JANUARY 2012, ONLY TO BE TOLD I NEED A POLICE CASE NUMBER FOR THE CLAIM.

THIS CLAIM WAS DONE ON THE "other specified" ITEMS AND ACCORDING TO ME, DON'T NEED A POLICE REFERENCE NUMBER. I THEN LODGED A COMPLAINT BUT UP TO DATE NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT. THE CALL CENTRE AGENT HAS A VERY BAD ATTITUDE AND KEEP ON TELLING ME I HAD TO REPORT IT TO THE POLICE WITHIN 48 HOURS. MY QUESTION: WHAT WILL A POLICE CASE NUMBER HELP??? I LOST THE RING, IT WAS NOT STOLEN...THEY ALSO GIVE ME ALL KINDS OF EXCUSES NOT FOR PAYING THE CLAIM. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!

We understand your frustration but unfortunately it is a requirement and is stipulated as such in your policy terms and conditions.

"Important time limits
Report anything which is lost or stolen to the police, within 48 hours."

The claims manager will be in contact with you shortly.
