| My mother drives a Toyota condor 2004 model. Recently she was contacted by her bank saying she has over 10k outstanding on her vehicle finance loan. She could not understand how on earth something like this could ever happen without her knowing. After further investigation we discovered that there are actually 2 insurance policies on her car that is deducted from her account.One for Auto & General and one for Dial Direct who is coincidently managed by one firm. On 3 Feb she contacted DD directly and asked them to cancel both these policies immediately.The consultant Assured her that is has been cancelled, and will get the cancellations department to contact her.On 7 Feb she contacted Dial direct again. The consultant then said that the policies were not cancelled on Friday but she did cancel it on her side. She assured us that she will find out what the procedures is if 2 policies for one item is paid and if it has to be refunded to us. Still no contact has been made form DD. Yesterday 08 Feb an ammount of over R900.00 has been deducted form our account by DD without any notification or reason? What will happen if our car gets repossessed just because of Dial Directs error??? | |||
