Lazy or incompetant?

I applied for maternity leave with the UIF in the beginning of April this year. I was told it would take 6 to 8 weeks for the claim to be processed and considered. My baby girl was due at the end of April and low and behold she arrived on the 19th. Obviously I was not paid for April or May. When the 6 week mark passed and still id heard nothing I phoned. I was told to phone the next week which i did. For 4 weeks in a row Ive phoned and all times been told something different and to phone the next week. First my paperwork is not correct then it is then Im not eligible for the benefits because Ive only worked three months of this year then its still being considered then it hasnt been processed yet. These people dont know what they are doing and we hardworking honest people are the ones suffering. I have not been paid for the last two months and am suffering to pay bills and buy the expensive baby necessities such as formula meds etc. Its discerning that these people dont consider the fact that there is a newborn child involved in this that needs to eat and have a paid roof over its head. I am disgusted by the service and worried that Ill walk away with nothing from all this.
