We have had countless meetings with the department of Labour and we were complaining about a company that only complied to Safety Standards on paper and practically ignored and ensured Employee Safety. As a result of such bad service from the department of labour, three employees lost their lives and others critically injured, and I also lost my job for forwarding an email to the department and the MD of the company. The labour department further inflicted pain on the wound by awarding the said company a license to operate before results of the investigation could be released, and knowing the cause of the fatal explosion that killed workers.
