| I used to work for a accounting firm which to this day has not paid me my leaving salary. I waited 4 months to see whether she (previous employer) would pay me but to no avail. I then contacted the labour department to follow the correct procedure. I was told that a case number wasnt to be opened as they will give the employer a chance to pay first???? I thought that was the reason for me going there. Thereafter I was assured I would be phoned back with a case number and I would not have to return to the labour department for a case number. Three weeks later and trying to get a hold of anyone working there after today I was told that no one has phones to call out with and that the supervisor was Solly Kramer and then a quick correction after my enquiry. I feel the labour department does not cater for whites and I am highly disappointed in their ability to solve a small problem like this. I can just imagine how underprivelaged people must feel in this same situation where they may not have the resources I have. None the less I am not rich and have been ripped off by my previous employer. To the labour department I say do your job or fix the problem. Simple. | |||
