| HEADLINE | Waiting 20 months for a Perminet Residency |

| We applied and submitted all the required documentation for a permanent residency in 05 May 2010 to the department of Home Affairs in JHB. After 13 months of NO feedback, we logged a escalation with the Home Affairs call centre on the 26 May 2011. In this process were requested to resubmit the documentation and got the a case number. We have called every two weeks for an update since then and get the same response ... the documentation has been sent to the office of application in Pretoria, we have not received an update on our systems. The call centre is not allowed to call the office of application directly and I ask to speak with a supervisor who promises to follow up with an email and call me within 72 hours for an update. I have never received a call to date and when I ask to speak with the supervisor they are always in meetings. After 20 months of this NO one can tell me where we are in this process or why it is taking so long. This process is meant to take 9/12 months and we are almost at 24 months with nothing to show for our effort's!!! PLEASE HELP. | |||
