HEADLINE	Sons full birth certificate cancelled- no reason
I have applied for my sons full birth certificate as it is required for my visa application. I applied on the 19th Jan. I was not told how long it would take to process. When I went to collect his passport yesterday, I enquired about his full birth certificate. To my dismay I was told it would take 3 MONTHS to process! I told the consultant that I cannot wait 3 months for the certificate, upon which he told me to call the Customer Care centre to enquire about speeding up the process. I called the Customer Centre and was shocked to be told that the application had in fact been cancelled on the 26th January!! By whom??!! Apparently it doesn't show on their system. Now I have been told I must drive the 90km to the Mankwe office to enquire as to why the application was cancelled. When will I then receive his certificate. This is totally unacceptable.!!!! Add a new Department of Home Affairs Report Inappropriate report?
