| HEADLINE | Centurion branch of Home Affairs not answering |

| I have been trying to contact the Centurion office of the Department of Home Affairs on three alternative telephone numbers for an hour (from about 14:00 to 15:00) without success. The telephones simply ring until they stop automatically -- nobody there bothers to answer. I have to find out whether my temporary passport is ready, but, as this office does not have email and the telephones are only ornaments, there is no way to contact them! Is the Department not supposed to render a service to citizens, do we not pay their salaries, should they not at least answer telephone calls? Perhaps Friday afternoon is not a good time as people are already enjoying the weekend? | |||
