| Computicket has refused to refund me the value of 2 tickets to see Jimmy Carr live despite the fact that the reason for my cancellation is that I am currently in hospital with a serious lung infection and cannot possibly leave to go and see the show. When I first inquired about a refund I was offered a 50% penalty at best, and now, because it is less than 7 days to the show, I have been informed that I lose the full value of the tickets. Per the consumer protection act, I have subsequently learnt, you cannot charge a cancellation fee at all, for advance cancellation of services, if the consumer is unable to attend because of hospitalisation. I initially just thought Computicket's treatment was callous and unfair- I now see that they are in fact not even acting legally! | |||
