I was very disappointed with the organisation of the Jimmy Carr show in Sandton last night. I booked tickets in May to ensure that I could get the best seats possible on limited budget, as a student. In May, when I booked, I was shown a seating plan that showed a group of seats around a stage with 15 seats per row, I know the number of seats as I carefully chose seats as close as possible to the stage and in the second row. When I arrived at the venue I found that the rows had been extended to allow for over thirty seats per row and that my seats had been shifted so that I was sitting one the far end of the hall. My second row seats were no longer an advantage but rather disadvantage as all I could see was a wall. In order to stop my loud complaints the security agreed to move us to the back of the hall but in the middle. From these seats I could see Jimmy Carr's head when he stood in the one clear view through the endless heads in front of me. I am livid as I booked my seats far enough in advance to get reasonable seats and then my location was changed. If I was shown the seating plan as it was on the evening I would not have chosen those seats or even attended the event. |
