| Being a die-hard fan of Kings of Leon, I have anticipated their arrival all year. My sister flew up from Cape Town for one night only to watch our favourite band together, and we arrived at the stadium at one o'clock so as to ensure that we got RIGHT TO THE FRONT of Golden Circle. When the gates opened, we rushed to the turnstiles to scan our tickets - only to find that they wouldn't. We weren't alone: about 30 other fans were denied access due to misprinted barcodes on our tickets. We were refused help from the security guards, and the thousand or so attendees in the queue behind us rushed through the gates past us. We had queued for hours in the sun, and almost everyone - including ourselves - burst into heartbroken tears. We were told to go to the other side of the stadium, and there the most UNHELPFUL, RUDE and UNINTERESTED Computicket representative proceeded to "help" us. Her computer didn't work, and only after forty-five minutes were we given access to the event that was supposed to be the highlight of our lives. Golden Circle was full at this point and we lost our coveted places at the front. It absolutely ruined our experience, and I want compensation. | |||
