Following my report on Laundry City & Dry Cleaners of 3 Aug. 2011, the owner, Ann, phoned me this morning with her own account of said events, firmly demanding its retraction at threat of legal action. I since gave it thorough consideration. Having heard Ann's account today and her adamant denial that she would have penalised her staff, which opposes the representation made to me at the time by that staff, I find it now, more than half a year later, impossible to conclusively determine the veracity of either version I was told. Because of this, and because I cannot totally discard the possibility that I may have received incorrect or inaccurate information before, I must give Ann's assertion the benefit of the doubt, on account of which I must hereby retract my previous report. I wish to emphasise that, it was made to the best of my understanding of the events, but, in hindsight, I should in the first instance have invited Ann to discuss. Should my previous report have caused Ann any unjust grief, I would hereby wish to apologise for such. I do still use her laundry, the staff of which are phenomenal people, and trust that this clarifies the matter in everybody's eyes.
