| On Friday, I took my mom to do some last minute Christmas shopping. She had to use a wheelchair due to a foot injury. We wanted to go into the Clicks store. There was no one available to open the turnstile, and when we tried to push the wheelchair past the tills, we found we were going against the grain of shoppers coming out of the store. In frustration, I turned the wheelchair to get out of the way of the shoppers, and knocked over a display stand. Still no clicks employees came to my assistance. Two shoppers came to help right the display stand. Eventually I had to leave my mom outside the shop, in the company of a helpful stranger while I entered the shop. There needs to be a plan made for wheelchair access into the shop, as people in wheelchairs are just as much customers as able bodied people. | |||
