I have been paying Jo'Burg City Power two accounts, two phases, since April of 2006, always a little concerned of the ridiculous amounts and estimates, but still paying, for fear of being disconnected. After receiving overwhelming accounts of thousands of Rands I decided to employ an electrician to inspect the situation since all my enquiries, complaints, suggestions were plainly ignored by Jo'Burg City Power. The electrician officially determined that I am being charged "estimates" for two phases (two meters), which is ridiculous as I am only using ONE. How does a small home using barely any electricity or water - there is no pool of any kind and housing only but two adults whom share 1 bath every day and doing every thing possible to 'save' end up spending from R3000 to R8000 EVERY MONTH. Being constantly disconnected with no warning whatsoever and then added a charge of R500 for dis-connection and R500 for reconnection. We are now, penny less, we have no savings left, no one is willing to even listen or dare help me. My child is literally starving I am not taking baths anymore, the Stove and geyser are NEVER used, we are too scared to switch on a kettle and boil some water.HELP
